The Citadel's Tau Iota Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, is proud to name

Celina P. Anthony

West Ashley High School

as the 2006 South Carolina Spanish Teacher of the Year. On November 16 an awards ceremony was held at The Citadel to recognize Celina P. Anthony with a plaque, a $150 gift card for Grill 225 restaurant in downtown Charleston ($75 courtesy of Grill 225; $75 courtesy of The Citadel's Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi), and $1000:

Chad Everett Allan of Bishop England High School and Eileen Hilera Shields of Academic Magnet High School, the other two finalists, were also recognized with award plaques courtesy of The Citadel's Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi.
