The College of Charleston's and The Citadel's chapters of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, are proud to name

as the 2011 South Carolina Spanish Teacher of the Year. On November 10, 2011 an awards ceremony was held at the College of Charleston campus (Arnold Hall, Jewish Studies Center, 96 Wentworth Street) to recognize Ms. Fulton-Archer with a plaque and $500 courtesy of

Jamie Egan-Lessard of Lakewood High School and Carla M. Hogue of Goose Creek High School were also recognized with award plaques courtesy of The College of Charleston's and The Citadel's chapters of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society.
