The Citadel's Tau Iota Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, is proud to name

as the 2007 South Carolina Spanish Teacher of the Year. On November 15 an awards ceremony was held at The Citadel to recognize Mrs. Love with a plaque and $1000:

Brenda Barron of Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach and Maelda Chalk of Hilton Head Preparatory School, the other two finalists, were also recognized with award plaques courtesy of The Citadel's Chapter of Sigma Delta Pi.
